Saturday night the Fighting Irish traveled to Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, NY. As the music played and the lights came on, with the rain coming down the

Fighting Irish were looking to make a statement! With two players sideline due to not being released by the Metro Mallers the team was fired up.

From the opening kickoff when Dison Reynolds took the kickoff 90 yards untouched. Then the pads started to get going. With hard hits coming all day from the Fighting Irish Defense they began with a good three and out for the Yard Dogs. With the Offense coming back out and Justin Kastner not letting the Defense rest long hooking up with Pleasant Rowe from 70 yards away on the first series. With Kastner hooking up over the middle again to Rowe and kicker Sean Condie adding two field goals before half time. The Irish took a 25-6 lead at the break.

With the Fighting Irish defense not letting the passing game get going all night. The Offense switched gears to a short passing game to newly acquired John Mulanio over the middle. Also with a running back committee of Mike Guanay, Larry Senior, and AJ Faraci the Fighting Irish took to the ball away from the Yard Dogs in the second half and kept the their Offense off the field. With all Troy running back contributing to the scoring the Irish ran away with the game. Troy receiver Flip Tarver catching a 65 yard pass and getting taken down at the 1 yard line. This set up a 1 yard touchdown by Larry Senior. AJ Faraci Also contributed with a 5 yard touchdown run and Mike Gaunay capped off the night from 14 yards out for the final score. Next week the Fighting Irish travel to Rochester to take on the undefeated and 2007 NFE National Champions Monroe County Sting. Then the fighting Irish returns home to face the Glove-Cities Colonials at a 2:00PM start @ Troy High School.
