The Siena men's basketball team placed 86th nationally in men's basketball average attendance according to the annual report produced by the NCAA office. A total of 110,012 fans came out for Siena's 17 home games this past season, an average of 6,471 per game.

Cambridge, Mass. – Following the America East Conference annual meetings, the conference membership reaffirmed its commitment to host the 2009 men’s basketball championship at the University at Albany’s SEFCU Arena on March 6-8.&#160;After the conference announced that UAlbany would play host to the championship in early May, there were some concerns raised when the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference moved its postseason tournament to the Capital Region from New Jersey.

TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee has chosen six individuals for induction into Rensselaer’s Athletics Hall of Fame. The Class of 2008 includes Alex Dowlin ’00 (basketball), Julia Geer ’00 (swimming &amp; lacrosse), Matt Robbens ’00 (football), Fred Schnatz ’41 (football &amp; track) and Ben and Tom Terzulli ’01 (lacrosse).
